It's great to have the rugby season back in full flow on Saturday (03/09/16). Our first team entertain Gorseinon in National League Division 1 West, and our Second team travel to Morriston in the Swansea District Division A League. Both games kick off at 2:30pm.

This will be the First Team's 14th consecutive time in Division 1 West and we are hoping for it to be a cracker of a season.

Gareth Bateman is named Club Captain for the season after returning home from stints at both Narberth & Neath. Gareth will bring great experience and passion to the dressing room.  Also returning to the club is scrum-half Liam Davies. Liam returns home to the village after a great professional career that includes playing for all four Welsh Regions, as well as playing in France for Brive & Dax. Other players who have returned to the club after spells away are: Ashley Banfield (Hendy), Liam Tobias & Rhodri Owens (both Felinfoel) & Jim Kaumaitotoya (Tenby). Also great to see Dale Watts back after many seasons away from the club. New signings also include prop Chris Thomas (Mumbles), back rower Ben Collard (New Dock Stars) & outside half Carwyn Richards (Tycroes), who all step up to try their skills at Division 1 level. 

Also Good luck to the boys who have dualled up to Premiership level this season, namely: Daniel Jacobs & Greg George (Llanelli), Jamie Hughes & Luke Waller (Llandovery), Gareth George & Steffan Marshall (Carmarthen Quins) & Richard Thomas (Swansea). And finally a massive good luck to Tom Phillips at the Scarlets this Season. #westisbest
